I’ll Follow You, Just in Case, is a gestural participation action. The work involves strapping a Transfer/Walking belt around a participant and moving through the gallery with them. Support belts are used for persons who require assistance with walking or with transferring from standing to sitting, or, in the gallery context, from object to object. This assistance creates a shadow effect. The participant leads; in this case, the artist supports.
